On Tuesday, April 15th and Wednesday, April 16th, we will be outside CL50 from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. Bring in any religious text (pocket size acceptable) and get a great fiction novel in return. We have classics and recently popular books, including Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Angels & Demons, Harry Potter, On the Beach, Patriot Games, Pride and Prejudice, Romeo and Juliet, Silence of the Lambs, The Andromeda Strain, The Giver, The Odyssey, and more!
We hope to get this general message across to as many people as possible. While religious texts may give some moral guidance, that doesn’t mean every word they contain is necessarily true. Morals and insight into human life can be taken from nearly any fiction novel. You have to critically think about what you’re reading and not just take it at face value, or how someone is telling you that you should understand it.[/b] |
